Did you see that Yvette Hoitink will be giving a webinar tomorrow on researching your Dutch ancestors? She will be showing you how to find records about your ancestors online, even if you don’t know any Dutch. And she will demonstrate her proven method of identifying your immigrant ancestor in Dutch records. At the end of the webinar, there will be some time to answer your questions.

You can attend the live webinar for free, and view the recording for free for a week after it airs. If you are a Legacy Family Tree Webinar subscriber, you can view the recording anytime and you will also be able to download the syllabus. If you do this, you will be sponsoring me since I will get some royalties.

The syllabus is ten pages long and has the following goodies:

A dozen links for online research
Overview of the most important sources, with links to more in-depth explanations
Information about Dutch naming patterns
Four-step-plan to find your immigrant ancestor in Dutch records
Reading list of relevant literature
Lists of places where you can get help
A list of English versions of Dutch names
List of translations of common Dutch terms
The webinar is organized by Legacy Family Tree Webinar and will use GoToMeeting.

Please go to the Legacy Family Tree Webinar website to sign up and get the instructions on how to attend. You will also be able to see what time the webinar will be for your timezone.

I'm not able to provide a link to the Facebook page "Dutch Cousins in Kentucky" because it is a private group. If you have a facebook account you can search for the group and submit a request to join the group. There have been excellent discussions of things of interest to Dutch Cousins.
